Washington Trip,
Sept. 9 2006 Date
We left Rochester at 10 for our trip to DC. On the way down we played with the GPS
navigation system that I borrowed from Capt. Steve. That was a hoot! It called out each turn along the way. I wanted to go a different route than it did
and for the first 20 minutes, it kept recalculating the route and gave me
directions to I 390. That was the way
that it wanted to go. When we got far
enough along the route through Bristol,
it gave up and finally started giving me directions along the way that I wanted
to go. It was great and gave us
directions all the way along even through the streets of Washington.
We arrived in DC just after 6 and
we got settled into our apartment. It is
on the 6th floor of a building on 12th St. just north of Massachusetts Ave. 5-6 blocks from the white house. We hooked upt with Pat and Mary, Laura and
Merrit, and Nick and Karen and went to Adams Morgan where we dined at a little
Italian place. It was great!
